SPELLCASTING 101
Spellcasting could not be simpler if it were composed strictly of children's rhymes, and that's exactly what works best, in a way. What spellcasting is, simply put, is a way of concentrating the attention toward a specific aim, purpose or effect.
Anything you can use toward that end will work just fine.
It can be accomplished invisibly, even in public, with a simple spoken or unspoken rhyme, song, chant or mental image, which we call Visualizing.
-
You should begin a spell with clearing the atmosphere. Ring a bell either once or in a pattern, such as 3/5/3.
-
Smudging or incense should then be used to cleanse the atmosphere, and any objects used in the spellcast should also be individually cleansed with incense or smudge stick, by holding the object above the censorium or smudge stick or smudge pot, suspending it within the smoke momentarily, while using a cleansing or Banishing chant, thought-form or incantation, whether spoken, sung or invisibly projected through beingness.
-
Next, light the candle or candles, blessing them and filling them with energy beyond the light-spectrum. The candles are there not only to provide light and energy, but to provide a contact point for any channeled being or beings from which you wish help or guidance.
-
Meditate, quiet the mind chatter and bring the whole being into harmony with the universal life, love and light, remembering that All is One. Make your inner world cleansed and empty, simple and one-pointed, toward your singular aim. Don't cloud your inner world with extraneous thoughts and emotions; remember that you may just get what you ask for, so ask carefully and consciously.
-
Gather your force, your energies and your attention into one single space and time.
-
Be prepared to spend as much time as necessary within the Spellbinding; you can't be in a hurry with these things.
-
When the Spellcasting is finished -- and you'll KNOW when that is by FEELING it -- be sure to Close the Chamber by Banishing all influences and entities, and use the incensorium or smudge stick or smudge pot to chase away any remaining entities that might be hanging around.
-
If you use special linens, cape, hood, alb or any ceremonial clothing in the chamber, make sure to replace it or them EXACTLY as you got them, in the same place, hanging in exactly the same way, almost as if you had never been there in the first place.
-
Breathe, exhale all the energy from the chamber BACK INTO THE CHAMBER before exiting or, if you are spellcasting outdoors, be sure to replace the energies by slowly exhaling the energies back out into space & time.
-
If you used a bell to open the Spellcasting Ceremony, ring it now; a pattern of 3/5/3 is good for this purpose.
And really, that's all there is to it! You can find out much more about Spellcasting and there are of course advanced lessons to be learned, not the least of which is the Great Law which follows Murphy's Law: "When you don't want it anymore, you get plenty of it."
